THE COMPLETE PUPPY TRAINING MANUAL
People often contact a dog trainer, thinking that obedience training will solve all of their puppy's problems. This thinking will usually make things worse because the focus is on fixing the puppy instead of teaching the puppy. With positive reinforcement reward-based training, the puppy will thrive and excel in doing the things you want them to do instead of constantly trying to fix their bad behaviors.
Puppy training requires a total commitment from the puppy's owners, daily obedience training practice, and a plan of action to produce results. Moving from one behavior issue to another without leadership, structure, and a plan of action will not produce results. The results come over time, in small increments, so patience is needed when raising a new puppy.
Results take time and patience. Results require intentional and focused work. This is what we call “training.”

My suggestions in this book are just that…suggestions. This information is not set in stone; it’s my opinion, based on the thousands of puppies I have trained as a professional dog trainer. You do not have to follow all of my advice. Take from this book what you need. Every puppy has different needs based on the environment and your goals.
My goal is to help make living with your dog easy and stress-free. In addition, I teach you how to develop a balanced, grounded, and centered puppy using force-free methods. The training is not complete when you have finished this book…that is just the beginning. Dog training is a lifelong process, implemented daily. Regular and consistent practice adds to a well-behaved and obedient puppy.
